Nissafar is strikingly beautiful, thin, and tall, standing about 6’3”. She wears a blood-red overbust corset with black leather decoration and a thick black cloak fastened at the top of her bosom, beneath which rests a red pendant with a gold border. Her hair is long and black. She is not as pale as many other vampires the party may have encountered. She uses a glamour to hide her identity and pass as a normal elf. When the glamour is removed, her crimson eyes and lips are more than enough to betray her true nature, even when her long white fangs are retracted.

Nissafar is friendly and courteous, and she deplores unnecessary violence. She does not like to kill without purpose. She speaks in a seductive and deliberate manner and enjoys manipulating others, especially when convincing them to become vampires willingly. Her goal, and the mission given to her by the Third Archon, Ezerbaran, is to build a strong colony of vampires in the Beran’s Claim area and take control of its government. She personally believes that vampires should rule, while allowing mortals to go about their lives in ignorance of who is truly pulling the strings. While Nissafar is not quick to anger, her retribution is thoughtful and creative when provoked. She tends to torture or humiliate prisoners rather than kill them.

Nissafar was born in Catar City 326 years ago. Her parents were wealthy nobles, and she used some of that wealth to establish the first trade route between Beran’s Claim and Catar City after the town’s wealth was rediscovered and it began to boom as a center of trade in the area.

Nissafar fell in love with and married the elf Eldrisan, who was also born into a noble family in the city. Their marriage had the approval of her parents. Together they had children and lived a prosperous life. One evening, while walking home from a business meeting in the city, she was attacked by a human vampire who intended to feed on her and kill her. Instead, captivated by her incredible beauty, he made her his fledgling.

She managed to hide her transformation from her family for years, making excuses for her changing appearance and lack of appetite, and turning people into thralls to cover her tracks when necessary. When she could no longer bear children for her husband, he became angry and despondent. He cheated on her, was rarely home, and took no further interest in her business ventures.

Over time, Nissafar advanced to a full vampire, but continued to stay with her family. The goddess Xarvissa took an interest in Nissafar and one night snatched her away to a vampire colony in another region, where she met one of the five archons, Ezerbaran. Having gained her goddess’s favor, Nissafar was offered the chance to become a master vampire, but the cost would be her husband’s life. Refusal would mean being made mortal again.

She loved her life and her powers, and chose to become a master vampire. Upon returning home, she turned her two daughters and had them drain her husband. She was then given the region around Catar City and Beran’s Claim to rule in the name of her goddess, which she has done ever since.

Her daughters are named Lyssanor and Noraana, and both are full vampires. Lyssanor rules over a colony in Catar City, while Noraana is starting a colony in Everwood village to the East. Nissafar directly controls Beran’s Claim and Edgecliff village to the northeast of Beran’s Claim.
